LEARNING BY DOING – WHAT ARE THE ACTIVITIES?
The workshop activities are divided into three general sections. Section One is the playing of a board game. The game allows players to experience the problems and successes that can occur as a result of sound financial decision making or erratic, sometimes conspicuous spending. In the game participants can laugh with each other and at the situations they find themselves in without experiencing personal failure or guilt.
Section Two acquaints the participants with the concept that values drive decisions. They become engaged in a process which allows them to explore their own value system and develop a list of personal Christian core values that are employed throughout the learning activities to make financial decisions and ultimately develop long term goals to enhance Christian living. |
